Bruno David Gallery: Friday, 1 February 2008

Opening Reception for FOUR ACES: Large-scale Prints from Four Universities
this Friday February 1, from 6 to 9 pm.

Bruno David Gallery is pleased to offer to St. Louis an opportunity to see the exhibit FOUR ACES: Large-Scale Prints from Four Universities. The works exhibited are from graduate students and faculty members of Washington University in St. Louis - Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts; Louisiana State University – College of Art and Design, University of Texas - Austin; and University of Wisconsin - Madison.

For several years, LSU, UT, and UW have put on similar art exhibitions. This is the first year a fourth university has been included. Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis seemed an obvious choice for the fourth university as Carmon Colangelo, printmaker and dean of the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Art, is an alumnus of the LSU School of Art.

These four top universities are linked because so few art schools have the facilities and equipment to produce large-format prints. The exhibit will display various printmaking mediums, including screen-printing, digital printing, collagraph, and relief printing.
Thank you for your continuing support! Bruno and the staff.

The gallery is located at 3721 Washington Boulevard, in the heart of the Grand Center arts district, directly opposite The Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts, the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, and in close proximity to the Sheldon Art Galleries, The Fox Theatre, and Powell Symphony Hall. The gallery is open free to the public and the hours are 10 AM to 5 PM Wednesdays through Saturdays, and by appointment.
