Pulitzer: Friday, 1 February 2008

Dan Flavin: Constructed Light

Join us as we celebrate the opening of the Pulitzer's new exhibition, Dan Flavin: Constructed Light, this Friday, February 1st, from 6-9pm.

The focus of this exhibition is the experience of Flavin's work - sculptural installations composed of mass-produced light fixtures and florescent tubes - within the architecture and shifting natural light of the Pulitzer building.

Flavin's art work extends beyond the physical hardware to encompass the surrounding space it illuminates. As a result, his art is inseparable from the architecture in which it is presented, an effect that is especially powerful within the Pulitzer.

The Pulitzer and Contemporary will be providing complimentary valet that night, accessible in front of both buildings on Washington Boulevard.

3716 Washington Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63108
