Bruno David Gallery:Friday, 1 February 2008

FOUR ACES: Large-Scale Prints from Four Universities
Opening Reception. Friday, February 1 from 6 to 9 pm
(Exhibition: February 1 – March 8, 2008)

Bruno David Gallery is pleased to announce the exhibit FOUR ACES: Large-Scale Prints from Four Universities. The works exhibited are from graduate students and faculty members of Washington University in St. Louis-Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Art; Louisiana State University – College of Art and Design, University of Texas - Austin; and University of Wisconsin - Madison. For several years, LSU, UT, and UW have put on similar art exhibitions. This is the first year a fourth university has been included. Washington University in St. Louis seemed an obvious choice for the fourth university as Carmon Colangelo, printmaker and dean of the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Art, is an alumnus of the LSU School of Art. These four top universities are linked because so few art schools have the facilities and equipment to produce large-format prints. The exhibit will display various printmaking mediums, including screenprinting, digital printing, collagraph, and relief printing.

The gallery is open free to the public, Wednesdays through Saturdays 10 to 5, and by appointment.

Bruno David Gallery is located at 3721 Washington Boulevard, in the heart of the Grand Center Arts District, directly opposite The Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts and the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis.
