SEE WATER: WATERSHED CAIRNS AND RIVERWORK PROJECT
Reflects Artfully On Rivers and Waterways
  • April 22, 5 - 8pm: Opening Reception
  • April 22, 6:30pm Gallery Talk with Libby Reuter and Josh Rowan of Watershed Cains, Sun Smith-Foret of Riverwork Project, and Lynn Hamilton, Celebrating Art for Senior EngAGEment, Maturity ad its Muse.
This installation of SEE WATER: Watershed Cairns and Riverwork Project is a reflection on the environmental character of our rivers and waterways and our relationship with them. In Watershed Cairns, fragile glass markers show where water treatment intakes or drain outflows - usually hidden - are located. These cairns are photographed to broaden understanding of watershed. Riverwork Project spearheaded by Sun Smith-Foret, a fiber artist who is known for her in large-scale quilts, involves a collaborative textile project involving 100 artists. The resulting improvisational quilt projects have been sewn together to create a single artwork measuring over 300’.

On display through May 12. Gallery hours: 10am - 6pm Tues. - Fri., 10am - 4pm Sat. Closed Sun., Mon. and holidays.
