Photographer to bring “Where I Am Now” to former home
Christine Flavin’s will show “Where I Am Now,” a photography exhibit in Gallery FAB at the University of Missouri–St. Louis. The exhibit will be on display from Aug. 22 to Sept. 16. A reception will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 12 in the gallery.
Flavin was a former art faculty member at UMSL. She is now an assistant professor and head of photography at Northern Michigan University in Marquette. “Where I Am Now” will showcase a trio of Flavin’s portfolios: “U.P. Road Trips,” “Abandoned Mining Sites” and “A Month of Horizons.” All exhibits at the gallery are free and open to the public. Regular hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday.
