for the FREE Opening Reception for two new exhibitions, "Room With A View" and "Pieced Work"

Art Saint Louis is proud to present "Room With A View," a multi-media juried exhibit featuring 46 original artworks that focus on or explore interiors and exteriors-be it physical, emotional, or any other level.

Serving as jurors for this exhibit were St. Louis artists Julie Campbell, owner, Three Sinks Gallery, Webster Groves, MO, and Adam Watkins, instructor, East Central College, Union, MO.

Eighty-three artists submitted 144 original artworks for our jurors' consideration for "Room With A View." From those entries, Ms. Campbell and Mr. Watkins selected 46 artworks by 36 artists for the exhibition.

MEET THE ARTISTS
On Saturdays during this exhibition, Art Saint Louis is hosting Meet the Artists Saturdays where Gallery visitors can meet some of the featured artists from "Room With A View." Artists will be on-hand in the Gallery to greet visitors & discuss their works in the show. These very casual events are free & open to the public.

PIECED WORK
Presented concurrently with our "Room With A View" exhibition is "Pieced Work," a curated exhibit featuring new works that are pieced, punched, patched and/or pierced. This unique exhibit features works by the artists of Thirteen Squared, a St. Louis-based group of artists including: Cynthia Berg, Elizabeth Concannon, Susan Dietz-Schmidt, M.J. Goerke, Jane Isenberg, Ellen Klamon, Ruth Kolker, Nancy Kurten, Emily Long, Marceline Saphian, Ida Steinberg, Harriet Thomas, and Kay Wood.

A charitable exhibition, each of the 13 artworks in "Pieced Work" is priced at $150 and 100% of the proceeds on sales of artworks will go to Art Saint Louis. This exhibit is on view in the Dion Dion Gallery at Art Saint Louis September 13-October 21, 2010. Free opening reception Saturday, September 25, 6-8 p.m.
