SLU Museum of Art: Friday, 8 October 2010
The Saint Louis University Museum of Art will host Kaleidoscope: Works by Mexican Master Leonardo Nierman. The exhibition opens with a 6 p.m. reception on Friday October 8. The exhibition concludes December 31, 2010.
Paintings, tapestries, and sculptures come to life as Nierman's work captures the intensity of the dynamic forces that rule both his view of nature and, as a young man, the music that inspired him to become a classically trained violinist. His work is a rich mixture of elements drawn from personal preference and experience. In it, one finds a diverse interpretation of landscapes, the discoveries of modern science, and Nierman's love of music
