Framations: Friday, 15 November 2019
Framations Art Gallery invites the public to view a new exhibit of art focusing on all things monochromatic, opening Friday, November 15. Monochrome III will be on display November 15, 2019 - January 9, 2020.
The term monochrome refers to varying tones of one color. It is an essential concept to understand when learning the basics of viewing and creating art. In a monochromatic work or art, focus is on the play of color values and contrast, since the color palette if limited.
For the case of this exhibit, Framations has asked artists to enter work that is at least "primarily" tones of one color. See how the artists explore this range when the exhibit opens on Friday, November 15 from 6-8pm. The exhibit will continue through January 9, 2020. During the full length of the exhibit, visitors will be able to vote for People's Choice, which will be announced at the end of the exhibit.
Framations is open Tuesday - Saturday 10-6 and Sundays 12-5.
