"Symbolic" is a juried visual art exhibition featuring 54 artworks that depict, incorporating or are otherwise inspired by symbols; where symbolism itself is the subject matter and/or an expressive means to address other subjects. For our exhibit, 201 artworks in nearly all media were submitted by 83 St. Louis regional artists for consideration by Jurors Cheri Hoffman and Fr. Terrence E. Dempsey, from which they selected 54 artworks by 49 artists from Missouri and Illinois for the final exhibition. This exhibit includes artworks in a variety of media, including collage, drawing, fiber, glass, handmade paper, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture.

"Symbolic" is on view January 13-February 14, 2018 and is FREE & open to the public. Free opening reception 5-7 p.m., Saturday, January 13. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Closed Sundays.
