Silence & Noise features 55 artworks by 49 St. Louis regional artists from Missouri and Illinois. The artworks in this multi-media exhibit include paintings, film and digital photography, printmaking, woodwork, mixed media, glass, drawing, and more.

Silence & Noise was an all media juried exhibit. Works in this exhibition reflect the push/pull of either noise or silence. The two concepts of opposites are examined, demonstrating how silence and noise work both as a force against AND alongside one another. Artworks featured are either comprised of clean, simple lines and are visually silent, OR the artworks are multi-layered, messy and thereby visually noisy. In addition to the physically representation, artworks that are conceptually silent or noisy are also presented.

Serving as Jurors for this exhibition were artist Marie Bannerot McInerney, Professor, Fiber Department, Kansas City Art Institute, Kansas City, MO, and artist Gary Passanise, Professor, Webster University, and founder, Executive Director, The Santo Foundation, St. Louis, MO.
