Duane Reed Gallery: Friday, 15 Novembeer 2013

Duane Reed Gallery presents the latest work of artist Jill Hackney. Exhibition opens Friday, November 15th with a reception that evening 5–8 pm. The exhibition will run through January 4th.
Gallery hours: Tuesday through Saturday 10-5 pm.

Best known for her still life and landscape work, Jill Hackney's focus is to show light’s impact on her subjects through layers of vertical and linear strokes. Using the natural texture of the wood on which she paints, each painting is approached with a sense of nostalgia. The end effect is a union of the senses, which awakens feelings of joy, serenity, and peace.
