Fraser Leonard Gallery: Thursday, 25 August 2011

Fraser Leonard will be opening his own Fine Art Gallery at 12:00 noon on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 3611 Schutzen Street, in New Melle, Missouri, a small suburban township west of St. Louis located in St. Charles County.

Leonard’s latest sculptures and paintings will debut at his new Gallery The artist will provide remarks at 6:00 pm, during the Gallery’s Opening Reception. Leonard’s paintings are acrylic, often enhanced by gold and silver leaf and holograms. His works are uplifting and fun; they are truly Art for Your Spirit and Your Life. He also creates metal sculptures that are 3-dimentional, and many are wall hangings suitable for both residential and corporate settings. While many of his artistic creations will be on display within his new Gallery space, most of his work can also be viewed at www.fraserleonard.com.

“Whether I am painting landscapes, impressionistic or pure abstract design, my large brush strokes reveal expressions of energy, light, balance and contrast. These attributes of nature are emphasized by bold and soft hues smashing into one another on the canvas. As a sculptor and a painter, my work is a spontaneous response to my surroundings; it is unencumbered and intuitive”, notes Leonard. He continues, “This new gallery space, located in the beautiful Missouri countryside, should prove to be very inspirational for my creative process.”

The Gallery will be open each Thursday, Friday and Saturday and by appointment. The regular hours of operation for The Gallery will be Thursdays Noon-8 pm, Fridays Noon-8 pm, Saturdays 10 am-3 pm.

The Fraser Leonard Art Gallery is located just a few yards south of the intersection of Highways D and F, across the street from the U.S. Post Office and the New Melle City Hall and Police Station. Both the Gallery and the Wine Garden will be marked by signage just off Highway D, and by the bright multi-colored umbrellas in the Wine Garden’s courtyard.
