Art St. Louis: Saturday, 6 November 2010
This year's exhibit was juried by Ms. Stacy Switzer, Artistic Director, Grand Arts, Kansas City, MO (2004-present). Switzer has also served as Exhibitions Coordinator and Arts & Education Curator for Salina Art Center, Salina, KS (2000-04). She earned her AB in History of Art from University of California at Berkeley and her MA in Modern Art History, Theory & Criticism from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Ms. Switzer is a member of ArtTable, Texas Regional Alliance, College art Association, and serves on the Curatorial Advisory Panel of the Charlotte Street Foundation in Kansas City.
For this year's exhibit, 112 St. Louis regional artists submitted 482 artworks for our juror's consideration. From those entries, Ms. Switzer selected 64 artworks by 31 artists from Missouri and Illinois for the exhibit. Works exhibited include ceramics, collage, digital media, drawing, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and textiles.

MEET THE ARTISTS
During this exhibition, Art Saint Louis is hosting Meet the Artists Saturdays where Gallery visitors can meet some of the featured artists from "Art St. Louis XXVI." Artists will be on-hand in the Gallery to greet visitors & discuss their works in the show. These very casual, unstructured Saturdays are free & open to the public.

Art Saint Louis is located at 555 Washington Avenue in the heart of downtown St. Louis--that's on Washington Avenue between Broadway & 6th Street. The Gallery is easily accessible by MetroLink and MetroBus with the Convention Center Station at 6th & Washington one half block from our front door.
