ABSTRACTION: PRINTS FROM THE PERMANENT COLLECTION
OCTOBER 29 - DECEMBER 31, 2010

The Saint Louis University Museum of Art is pleased to showcase its prominent collection of noted abstract artists in the exhibition, Abstraction: Prints from the Permanent Collection. The display opens with a reception in the museum's community gallery at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 29.Abstraction will conclude on December 31, 2010.

Abstraction is an exhibition that reflects on the dedication of the Saint Louis University Museum of Art to collecting the work of significant artists whose iconic works have been influential in defining Abstract Expressionism. American artists featured include: Frank Stella; Karel Appel; Robert Motherwell; Sam Francis; and Ellsworth Kelly. An international selection of artists includes: Max Ernst; Jean Dubuffet; Roberto Matta; Jean Arp; Zao Wu Ki; Hans Hartung; Wassily Kandisky; Mario Prassinos; Gustave Singier; Eduardo Chillida; and Jean Dewasne.
