ArtSpace at Crestwood Court: Saturday, 2 October 2010
You are invited to attend the artist reception for Mary C. Nasser on Saturday, October 2, 7pm-9pm at Jeane Vogel Studios in ArtSpace at Crestwood Court.
On exhibit is the show Sense of Direction, Mary's mixed-media map paintings, inspired by nature, landscapes and geology. Her love of landscapes is explored in paintings layered with maps, scientific illustrations, and geological diagrams. Mary reveals in her artist statement, "œI am captivated by the idea that geological shifts and transformations seem to parallel both individuals and their relationships: continually changing, varying, shifting and developing, too." Sense of Direction will be on display until October 28, 2010.
Mary's hand-made collage cards will be for sale, too. Also on exhibit are abstracts by Sharon Spillar and Polaroid Paintings by Jeane Vogel. Please join us for a relaxed evening of art, snacks, and worthwhile company!
