Thirteen Squared Presents “Celebrate”, An Art Show & Sale, on March 12, 2009 at 6:00 PM.
Thirteen Squared, a local women’s art collaborative, present s “Celebrate” an art show and sale, at the Regional Arts Commission Gallery, opening at 6:00 PM, with an amazing opportunity to buy over 100 great art pieces for $50 each at 7:30 PM. All proceeds will provide scholarships to St Louis ArtWorks.
“Celebrate” is comprised of two shows: “All Hands on Deck” and “An Exhibition of Eight”. “All Hands on Deck” is the work of the members of Thirteen Squared. Each artist was given four playing cards to interpret in their own style for a total of fifty-two original pieces along with a commemorative deck of playing cards. The playing cards will be available through March 12th for $10 and $15 after that. For “An Exhibition of Eight” each member of Thirteen Squared invited the best women artists in St. Louis, to submit an 8” x 8” piece. Each work will be sold for $50 on a first come selection basis.
Thirteen Squared is a group of award winning St. Louis women artists who have been collaborating for over five years to promote the arts and have raised over $11,000 for locals arts organizations. The members are: Cynthia Berg, Elizabeth Concannon, Susan Dietz-Schmidt, MJ Goerke, Jane Isenberg, Ellen Klamon, Ruth Kolker, Nancy Kurten, Emily Long, Marcy Saphian, Ida Steinberg, Harriet Thomas, and Kay Wood.
