Help for nonprofit arts: Tuesday, 17 November 2009

If you are an arts organization, you know the arts are in crisis. This November, you'll know why and what to do about it. Michael M. Kaiser, president of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts will speak in St. Louis and Kansas City. After reviving cultural institutions such as Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, American Ballet Theatre, London's Royal Opera House and Kansas City Ballet, they don't call him "the turnaround king" for nothing. Kaiser will speak about how nonprofit arts can survive in tough economic times, followed by a Q&A session moderated by Patrick Murphy of KETC. There is no charge to attend, but not attending could be costly.
