Teri Moore and Nancy Rogers use mixed media to explore stitching as a contemporary art element. Nancy Rogers, from St. Louis, MO, stitches tanks, battleships and fighter planes onto vintage linens. Her paintings are canvases of vintage linen that have been painted over and stitched into with war motifs. Teri Moore, from Paducah,KY, uses string to stitch together found materials. Her work incorporates materials such as clay, metals, canvas, paint and photos and her standing floor pieces moveable parts.
