Visit Open Lot for our May exhibition, *Contemporary Furniture in its Natural Habitat. Opening reception: Saturday, May 17th from 6 to 10 pm. 1310 South 18th Street, St. louis, 63104.
The exhibition features works by local designers, sculptors, and students. Each piece contributes to the contemporary discourse of furniture design with innovative use of material, striking form, and clever methods of construction.
As Open Lot is a home and studio, pieces will be placed throughout the building in their logical locations, instead of being treated as gallery objects. As a result, viewers will get a close and candid view of contemporary solutions for seating, shelving, and lighting (and a pair of furniture-inspired sculptural pieces).
The exhibition will feature work by egg collective, Annaliesa Harris, John Kleinschmidt,
Patrick Knobloch, Nick Lang, Megan Lepp, Amanda Miller, and Jon Yianilos, with more to be announced.
