Laumeier Sculpture Park: Friday, 6 June 2007

Sue Eisler: Untitled exhibition opens June 6, 2008 at Laumeier Sculpture Park

This summer’s Kranzberg Exhibition Series at Laumeier Sculpture Park, which presents the work of outstanding regional artists, will feature a show by Sue Eisler that opens June 6, 2008 with a free public reception. The broad survey of Eisler's artwork will be the sixth installment of the series and will continue through September 7, 2008.

Passages referencing historic milestones such as minimalism and Arte Povera will be represented in the galleries. The use of found, altered and/or adapted objects is a staple for Eisler.

The exhibition will consist of significant pieces from key points in the artist’s career, new work created specifically for the exhibition and a new outdoor project installed on the Laumeier grounds. The exhibition will continue through September 7, 2008.

Laumeier Sculpture Park is located at 12580 Rott Road in St. Louis County, near Interstate 44 and Lindbergh Boulevard. The park is open daily from 8 a.m. until ½ hour past sunset. The museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. The museum is closed on Mondays and legal holidays.
