OPENING RECEPTION
May 23 6-9
1308 Washington Avenue

Take Out is Ellen Curlee Gallery’s last exhibition at 1308a Washington Avenue. As part of the exhibition we have invited the artist/friends we have worked with, along with selected artists, regardless of their chosen medium, to submit work to this exhibition and installation. In accordance with the theme of deconstruction we asked each artist to specifically respond to the ideas of to “compose” or to “remove”. Each artist was free to interpret these thoughts the way they felt was most effective and in accordance with their own conceptual and visual language. The installation will be set up as a blind auction without any labeling of who’s who and will sell democratically for $100. The work will be sold off the wall, in a metaphorical decamping, with our friends, colleagues, and supporters helping us physically de-construct this space. This project is presented as homage to the gallery and to the great exhibitions we have held here.

The exhibition continues until June 14 or until there isn't a work left on the wall. Tue-Sat 11-4.
