20:08 Gallery Saint Louis: Saturday, 31 May 2008

Kluempers - Father and Son Photography Exhibit
Sunday, June 1, Noon to 5pm, 2008
ARTIST RECEPTION SATURDAY MAY 31 - 5PM TO 9PM

Greg's work explores the relationship of forms, textures and color in the everyday world. He uses these to create abstract geometrical images. The subjects of his work include: old and new commercial, office and industrial buildings, historical buildings and sites, other man made structures and natural scenes.

Steve's images are loosely based around his childhood experiences. Most of the narratives
deal with childhood trauma and experiences that are removed from the location and event as it actually took place. The work is also strongly vested in Tableau, and uses mainly primary colors in the pallet to push the whole child aspect further. The images explore the idea of memory and how it is changed and replaced by the bombardment of media, how your memory is
no longer what actually happened because of too much TV.
