UMSL Women on the Move 2008
March 20-April 4, 2008
Opening Reception March 20 4-7pm

Gallery Visio is excited to announce the 6th annual Women on the Move exhibition, featuring a collection of works by over 20 female artists. Women on the Move is a special and eclectic event showcasing talented UMSL students, graduates, and faculty, through a variety of media.

Part of Women on the Move's tradition is a special mini-exhibit, dedicated to showcase a historical female figure, created by Kathleen Butterly Nigro. This year's exhibit will be The Other Scott: Harriet's Story, an exhibit about Harriet Scott, the wife of Dread
Scott. Dread Scott is known for his attempt to sue the State of Missouri for his freedom in 1847.

Women on the Move will run from March 20-April 4, 2008 with an opening reception held on March 20th in Gallery Visio of the University of Missouri –St. Louis. All receptions at Visio are free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
