Talk To Me: The Voices of Kiln-Formed Glass
Opening Friday March 7, 2008 – April 20, 2008 at Craft Alliance in the National exhibition gallery
Opening Reception: Friday March 7 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
Curator Susan Taylor Glasgow
Talk to Me: The Voices of Kiln-Formed Glass will focus on work that has developed by drawing on life, time, and experience. Each object showcased is a vehicle that voices an inner self. Glass that is cast or fused in a kiln is referred to as “kiln formed”. Unlike blown glass or glass worked directly from the furnace, kiln forming is an indirect method of shaping allowing for delicate details and complex imagery.
Running Concurrently in the David and Jacqueline Charak Regional Gallery
Eden Found: John Baltrushunas
