Michael Bolton, a St. Louis emerging artist, exhibits his latest mixed media abstract paintings, CHAOTIC COLOR, at the Marbles Gallery in Lafayette Square, July 1-31.
Opening Reception: 6-9 p.m. this Saturday, July 21
Michael Bolton pushes away from structure and formalities in his paintings creating original work with color, texture, and flow. He rarely uses a paint brush. Instead, he uses pallet knives and screwdrivers and a variety of media. Many of his abstracts consist of ordinary house paint, housing caulk, and other everyday materials.
