Morton J. May Foundation Gallery: Thursday 12 April 2007
Please join Maryville University for an exhibit of paintings and ceramic pieces by St. Louis artist Jamie Shoop.
“Glimpses,” a show of mainly paintings and a few ceramic sculptural pieces, deals with how I perceive creation and nature; how each sunset or sunrise resonates a feeling or an emotion. The drama from each piece is created by texture and color. The title comes from a song I wrote a few years back called “Glimpses of Heaven”. I believe that creation is a glimpse of heaven and there is no better way to share that with others than through creative expression.
"Glimpses" runs April 9 - 13 - receptions with the artist April 12, 6-8pm
Morton J. May Foundation Gallery is located inside the library building on the Maryville campus.
650 Maryville University Drive
