"Let's Intimate"
An Installation by artists Karen Lederer and Heidi Turpin
Opening reception 6-9pm
Through the installation, "Let's Intimate" Karen Lederer and Heidi Turpin create a Valentine's day party gone too personal. They explore the differences between the superficial intimacy of store bought valentines, love songs, party decorations, and fake flowers vs. the true intimacy of
what one actually feels inside. The artists display their desire to be close to the viewers by revealing information about themselves and offering up their phone numbers, but also exhibit their fear of intimacy and of winding up alone forever.
