In the New Media Room, the gallery presents a documentary by filmmakers David Wild and Lulu Gargiulo on the life and work of Leslie Laskey. Shot over an eleven-year period, "Forty-Seven Views of Leslie Laskey" is a chronicle of the artist, poet and legendary teacher, Leslie J. Laskey.
Mark Travers’s Metropolis embodies precision, elegance and geometric rigor. Travers creates abstract references to architecture, street grids and other aspects of urban life. As a painter, he is interested in light and its translucence through the layering of opaque paints and varnishes. His technique creates an ethereal, visual ‘shift,’ reminiscent of light shining through stained glass, almost as if a doorway or window has opened to a new, other-worldly dimension.
Public Hours: Tuesday through Friday Noon – 6:00 pm and open by appointment
