Framations Art Gallery: Friday, 28 April 2017

Framations Art Gallery presents Alive
April 28 - June 1
Friday, April 28, Opening Reception from 6-8 pm.

We are surrounded entirely by life. People, animals, plants, microbes, etc. There are enumerable examples of life on our planet.  In a new exhibit entitled Alive, Framations Art Gallery asked artists: what symbolizes life to you? Their answer came in a plethora of styles, sizes and media.

With widely based interpretations, many artists focused on imagery of people, animals, plants and insect, though some are more loosely based on the fluidity of wind and some even hint at subjects on the molecular level. There are a total of 77 pieces in the exhibit by 31 artists from the St. Louis region.

The public is invited to view the artwork on display and to vote for People's Choice in this exhibit when they visit. The voting continues through the full length of the exhibit, ending on June 1, 2017. This exhibit was juried by Robin Hirsch-Steinhoff, Artistic Director of Art Saint Louis.
