Foundry Art Centre: Friday, 10 MArch 2017
Opening Friday, March 10, the latest Foundry Art Centre
juried exhibition Luck of the Draw explores the theory of luck,
investigates happenstance, or portrays this abstract concept. Themes within the
exhibition will also investigate superstitions, myths, and rituals.
Grant Hargate has curated artwork from a wide range of
entries submitted from artists across the nation. Hargate will be in attendance
at the opening reception and will host a gallery talk at 5:30 pm before the
reception begins.
Alongside Luck of the Draw, sculptor
Logan Woodle will exhibit in Gallery III. Woodle's handcrafted metalworks are an homage to his agricultural heritage.
Rirostro will exhibit his expressive, caricature-like
painted portraits as part of the Emerging Artist Series in the Ameristar
Gallery.
Enjoy food and drinks while chatting with Luck of the
Draw’s participating artists at the opening reception and be sure to head
to the mezzanine level to visit with the Foundry Art Centre studio artists. The
exhibition and reception are free and open to the public. These three
exhibitions will open Friday, March 10, 2017 and close Friday, April 21, 2017.
