REVERIE

artists NATE BETSCHART and JOANNA HOGE

Drift away in the upcoming exhibition, REVERIE, with NATE BETSCHART and JOANNA HOGE.  Joanna Hoge explores an ambiguous anatomy, where bodies are simultaneously incomplete and connected in a way that renders them open and amorphous.  Sewing over and through her compositions of floating figures, Hoge suggests the physical limitations of the body on the soul.  Daydreams darken in the clay work of Nate Betschart.  He hauntingly replaces once useful mechanical parts with porcelain counterparts.  Both artists explore the areas surrounding imagination, memory and desire.  Artist and illustrator Joanna Hoge, will be joining us at the opening reception.
