The Bonsack Gallery at John Burroughs School will feature “John and Teenuh Foster: A Lifetime of Art Collecting” from August 21 through October 15. All are invited to an opening reception from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, Friday, September 5.

John Foster taught in the Fine Arts Department at Burroughs for 11 years (1976 - 1987). It was during those years that he and his wife began what was to become an extraordinary art collection, now recognized nationally for its depth and focus. Beginning first with American folk art, the collection evolved over the years to include outsider art, as well as found objects. The diverse exhibit will include drawings, paintings, sculpture, and photography.

Regular gallery hours are 8 am to 5 pm, weekdays.
