FORT ARROWHEAD
works by David Burnett
March15 - April7
Opening reception/demonstration: March 15, 2013 7pm-1am

FORT ARROWHEAD is an installation/sculpture series representing childhood wonderment and fascination; especially in regards to the artist's desire to shoot, maim, and destroy.

(Excerpt from the Official Notice of Demonstration, as supplied from Fort Arrowhead HQ)

--Through the use of tactical construction practices, guerrilla model-building, and basic bricolage, FORT ARROWHEAD will consist of a 1:1 scaled model of the command-center fort, field-engineered weapons and devices, booby traps and other forms of anti-personnel device demonstrations, tactical battle literature, field maps, and training programs. These were originally constructed by the artist & his comrades in the Arrowhead area during the mid-1980's. At the time this area was known to be under hostile influence from enemy horse ranchers, subdivision land developers, rival neighborhood punks, the tree bound spirit of a young boy named Scotty, and The Lady With No Face.(text missing)--
