UC Library Gallery: Friday, 7 December 2012

The December exhibit in  entitled “Next in Line” features digital illustration in the style of Al Hirschfeld by Matt Hirschfeld. A reception will be held on Friday, December 7, 2012, 5 - 8 pm.

Matt Hirschfeld has been receiving much attention and praise in the entertainment world for his numerous drawings of both Hollywood and Broadway personalities. Following in the footsteps of the late Al Hirschfeld, Matt reintroduces the classic Hirschfeld line for today's stars; however, rather than creating his artwork with a pen, Matt draws all his work freehand on the computer. This is something Al, himself, suggested might someday come to pass.

The work is on display December 3 - 30 and may be viewed during normal library hours, Monday – Friday, 9 am – 9 pm; Saturday, 9 am – 5 pm; and Sunday, 1 -5 pm.  The library will be closed December 25 and at noon December 24 & 31 for the holidays.
