yellowbear: Saturday, 10 November 2012

Join us for our inaugural exhibition and open house in our new space, yellowbear. We are a fine art print studio that will host workshops, classes, open studio hours, exhibitions and other projects. We are located in the heart of the Kingshighway Hills neighborhood, here in St. Louis. where you going, where you been? is our inaugural exhibition and the idea came about through conversation about the past. We often see current work from artists but rarely see where the artist began. Through this exhibition we asked artists to self-curate a creative history determined by the selection of past and present works. We want to see the relationship between the old and the new. Are there similarities? Is the work vastly different? Has your medium changed/shifted? We think that one’s future is influenced by the past and we’re anxious to see what conversations happen as a result.

Participating artists include: Jessica Baran, Amy Bautz, Michael Behle, Greg Edmondson, Tate Foley, Cameron Fuller, Daniel McGrath, Sarah Paulsen and Brett Williams.

The opening is Saturday November 10, 2012 from 5-8pm. The exhibition runs through December 8, 2012. yellowbear is open by appointment only. We are located at 5201 Pernod Ave St. Louis, MO 63139.To make an appointment to see the exhibition call 314-210-9300 or email info@yellowbearprojects.com
