An Art Exhibition in Partnership with Stray Rescue of St. Louis

Opening reception: Friday, Aug 3 6 – 8 p.m
August 3 - September 16

The opening, which is free-of-charge and open to the public, includes food, beverages and, of course, truly inspiring and professional works of art that pertain to the Stray Rescue mission. (Please leave your pets at home.)

The theme of this year’s highly anticipated fundraising event will focus on the survivors of Stray Rescue innocent dogs and cats that have suffered shocking abuse, neglect and abandonment. Due to the efforts of the dedicated staff of Stray Rescue, these innocent victims of unspeakable cruelties are protected, sheltered and loved for the remainder of their lives.

“The theme throughout the exhibition will be one of hope, showing that the majority of these companion animals survive the very harsh city streets to have the most loving, attentive, gentle, and playful personalities,” said Randy Grim, Founder of Stray Rescue.

The focus of the show also has an essential educational component, giving Stray Rescue a platform on which to present the public with facts about the animal abuse and neglect the organization combats on an almost daily basis.

Regional and national artists will paint, photograph, and sculpt a Stray Rescue dog that has been abandoned, abused or neglected, and shelter dogs will also create works of art using their paws, tails and noses.

All art displayed in the exhibition will be available through an online auction by visiting www.blacktie-stlouis.com/auctions. Bidding will begin Friday, Aug. 3, and all proceeds directly benefit Stray Rescue of St. Louis.
