THE MAJESTY AND MYSTERY OF OUR LAND
Jeff Aeling will be debuting new oil paintings at the Philip Slein Gallery on November 11th. Aeling’s reputation is based on his highly technical and Romantic visions of the sweeping vistas of our country. Aeling’s new body of work focuses on the dramatic and sublime qualities of nature; from a bolt of lightning that scars the sky before a spring downpour to a delicate symphony of light that paints the sky as the sun dips below the river on a sultry summer evening. For Aeling’s second show at the gallery he has traversed the region capturing the poetry of the Midwestin luminous paintings
that will inspire a sense of awe in the wonders of the natural world.
Reception: Friday, November 11th, 2011, 6-8 pm; runs through December 17th.
Hours: Tues.-Sat. 10am-5pm
