Luminary Center for the Arts: Friday, 8 April 2011
The Luminary Center for the Arts is pleased to present the international group exhibition How to Disappear, which brings together five innovative artists that offer divergent how-to manuals on dropping out of society, records of vanishment and satirical takes on the dissolution of self. The exhibition features work from Ben Alper, Young Hae-Chang's HEAVY INDUSTRIES, Cayetano Ferrer, Claire Fontaine, Tatiana Grigorenko and Seth Price.
Also opening in the installation space is Charles Gick's site-specific installation entitled Three Clouds in Waiting. Three Clouds places Gick's paintings within a barren landscape created by a thick slab of dried mud, offering new resonances between painting, sculpture and the natural environment.
Join us for the opening reception from 6-9pm on Friday, April 8th.
