Lore Bert and Katy Stone: "Conversations"

Atrium Gallery announces its Summer Show "Conversations," a two person exhibition featuring new works by Lore Bert and Katy Stone.
Lore Bert is a German artist, working in Meinz, who shows internationally. Her elegant abstract pieces are dimensional works done with handmade paper depicting geometric elements dramatically integrated into the whole. Katy Stone is a US artist working in Seattle who uses layers of Duralar or steel with acrylic to compose her equally elegant works. She alludes to many natural, organic forms, and her layers often move with air currents, presenting pieces with some kinetic characteristics. A great respect for nature and the environment is shown throughout her oeuvre. Aesthetically, there is a consistent impression from both artists' works that overlays their separate approaches to their disparate subjects. The natural and the spontaneous relate to the intellectual and rational in a way that can truly engage the viewer.
Gallery Hours are Wednesday-Saturday 10-6, Sunday 12-4 and Tuesday by appointment
