East Gallery: Bodies of Work and First Glass, November 20 - December 15
Bodies of Work by Brian Cummings is a photographic study of the body as canvas, presented in the style of three Baroque Masters -- Caravaggio, Rembrandt and Reubens. By injecting the modern concept of tattooing as an art form into the aesthetics of the Baroque period, the
artist's lush photography highlights preconceived notions about art in the classical sense. The series also includes contemporary portraiture of tattooed subjects. Brian Cummings is a commercial and fine art photographer.
First Glass. a debut exhibit of glass by students in the Washington University-Third Degree glass program. See what those crazy kids have been learning in the hot shop, flame and kiln studios.Note: Exhibits will be temporary de-installed Nov. 22 - Nov. 30 to make way for the Rock N Roll Craft Show.
Cash bar. Drinks of the Month: Bailey's & Coffee and Schlafly full-bodied Oktoberfest.
