STILL WITHIN: Recent Paintings Artists Julie Malone and .carolinecblaker. explore the involuntary solitude and perceptual shifts from their battles with Cancer

Artists Caroline Blaker and Julie Malone come together to share the celebration of their survival and inspiration gained from their battles with cancer. Malone, a highly respected and collected artist in St. Louis was recently cleared from her diagnosis of Thoratic cancer, and will be exhibiting paintings that celebrate her battle with the disease. Blaker attended Washington University and stayed in St. Louis until 2006, just two months after she finished treatment of a diagnosis of stage II Breast cancer. The night of the exhibit will mark Blaker's three year survival anniversary, and she will be showing paintings based on her days in St. Louis and reflections on her illness that have matured since she moved away. Blaker will be returning June 1 for this event.

A raffle of art work will be held to benefit the Barnard Health and Cancer Information Center at Barnes Jewish Hospital.
