WHAT I SEE: Fundraising exhibition to benefit school children in Sri Lanka

May 8-June 26, 2008
Opening Reception May 8, 4-7pm

Gallery Visio is excited to announce the What I See exhibition, featuring self portraits created by rural school children in Sri Lanka. What I See is a special fundraising event for the UM-St. Louis Operation Teardrop Campaign, and will feature a silent auction of children's artwork, including a beautiful handmade quilt.

The Operation Teardrop Campaign is a unique collaboration of UMSL faculty, staff, and students, and community members, designed to bring educational opportunities to impoverished school children in Sri Lanka. Proceeds from the Gallery Visio fundraiser will be used to create a environmental education and recycling program at the Campaign's sponsored school. For details about the project, visit http://www.umsl.edu/~ccj/faculty/miller.html. All receptions at Visio are free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
