THERE AND HERE: CARMON COLANGELO, JOAN HALL AND PETER MARCUS
OPENING FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 9
Informal gallery talk: 5:30 to 6:00pm
Opening reception: 6:00 to 8:00pm
Three established printmakers known for their innovative approaches combine work in this impressive show. Carmon Colangelo makes mixed media images use an iconography of disparate imagery that together form a fantastic narrative. Joan Hall is known for her large scale sculptural prints that are thickly layered with handmade paper, pulp, printing ink and collage elements to make luscious surfaces that allude to the sea and its power. Finally, Peter Marcus is one of the pioneers of large scale experimental printmaking creating complex images of patterns and texture that are inspired by and based on architecture.
