on FRIDAY, July 20 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at The Gallery at the Regional Arts Commission (RAC). (Free parking available in the Metro parking lot north of the Pageant parking lot)
This exhibition is curated by Michael Crane, director of the Art Center Gallery at the University of Central Missouri, and features work by more than 38 local artists.
LIVE performances by the Psychotronics, St. Louis Artworks/Uppity Theater Co., and Njideka Ezenwa-Eke!
"SPEAK UP, ST. LOUIS!" - Democracy Project Redux
Close to 40 artists raise their voice through video, dance, sculpture, drawing, photography and acting to address dozens of complex issues facing America in the upcoming show "Speak Up, St. Louis!" The show addresses everything from identity and homelessness to bureaucracy and poverty. As curator Michael Crane explains: "This is not just another angry rant, but an opportunity for serious reflection."
This exhibition will run through Sunday, August 26, 2007.
