Maryville University Gallery: Thursday, 26 April 2007

Maryville University invites you to the fourth of five BFA - Studio Arts exhibition. This weeks artist, Noriko Sugawara, specializes in sculptures. There is a reception with the artist this Thursday April 26 from 6 - 8 pm.

The past few years, I have been working on sculptures that deal with the human condition, life, and world. Due to developments in technology people can exchange ideas in an ever increasing pace. This makes me interested in how peoples’ thoughts are relating to the world and each other on a global scale.

Both, eggs and hearts are universal symbols to which people of different ages, backgrounds and cultures can relate, thus allowing me to communicate with a larger audience.
