The Foundry Art Centre presents “Ceramic Centric”, a juried exhibition of thirty-three ceramic artists from twelve states this April 12, 2019.

All exhibitions will open Friday, April 12, 2019, with a juror’s talk from Ruth Reese in the Main Gallery at 5:30 pm. The Opening Reception will be from 6-8 pm. The exhibitions are on show April 12 - May 24, 2019.

Local artist and owner of The Reese Gallery, Ruth Reese, curated this exhibition that explores modern interpretations of the ceramic medium. Sculptural and utilitarian pieces alike will both amuse and awe viewers.

Going Solo Award Winner from 2017 exhibition “Context II”, Elizabeth Conn, will be exhibiting her papier-mache sculptures in Gallery III. In “Life Is A Dance! Keep Dancing”, Conn’s sculptures take on the appearance of solid stone while possessing a weightless whimsy.

In the Ameristar Gallery, the Foundry Art Centre Studio Artists will have an exhibition of their artwork. The Studio Artists will be present in their studios during the Opening Reception to discuss their artistic process and works in progress.
