Thinking Money: A Financial Expedition

Thinking Money: Piggy Banks
photographs by Kristi Foster

Opening reception 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 23
May 19 through June 24.

University City Public Library is one of 50 sites nationwide — and the only library in the St. Louis area — selected to host Thinking Money, which is designed to teach young people and their families about money in a way that is not only understandable, but fun. Through an adventure-themed storyline, interactive iPad content, and other fun activities, Thinking Money explores themes like wants vs. needs, preparing for a rainy/sunny day, and imagining your future self. The exhibition is geared toward tweens, teens, and the adults in their lives, though everyone is welcome to view Thinking Money.

Thinking Money: Piggy Banks is a companion exhibition by photographer Kristi Foster that features UCPL friends, family, and patrons holding, and talking about, their piggy banks.
