Duane Reed Gallery: Friday, 16 December 2016

December 16th - January 28th
Opening Reception Friday, December 16th 5-8 p.m.

We are very excited to be exhibiting two St. Louis based painters who are working within the narrative of landscapes. Bogosian’s work puts special emphasis on the expansiveness of the sky in relation to the scenery, capturing nature’s sublime essence, while Burnett’s abstracted compositions create a kaleidoscope effect that maintain a sense a familiarity while provoking the viewers curiosity.

AHZAD BOGOSIAN - Channeling the Midwest and Western landscapes as sources for his mood-rich paintings, Bogosian has developed an extensive and breathtaking body of work. His work is a response to the atmospheric, sublime qualities and spiritual essence that exists in landscapes.

DANIEL BURNETT - Daniel’s paintings are psychedelic orchestrations exploring tension and fluidity in ever changing mercurial patterns. Marks and shapes of color establish rules of format and then break their own rules, creating structured and highly technical, though interrupted and imperfect, compositions. These incredibly precise compositions are achieved without the use of tape or stencil.
