Reese Gallery: Bede Clarke and Casey Miller: Looking Beyond

​In the upcoming exhibition, BEDE CLARKE and CASEY MILLER draw with curious lines, as they forego conventional approaches toward representation. CLARKE and MILLER "look beyond" to reveal the moments layered underneath daily experience - finding new visual languages for ideas surfacing from the subconscious. Drawing more than meets the eye, both BEDE CLARKE and CASEY MILLER bring a delicacy of line, edge, form and gesture. Bede Clarke sums it up well when he writes of his studio practice:

 ​"Maybe there is more here than you ever imagined - can you just grow a bit taller to see it and listen a bit deeper to hear it?  It's always just ahead, just around the next corner. It can be a part of the wonderful complexity of being a human..."

These two visionary artists help us "look beyond" the veneer of everyday life.
