Black and White Painting, Sculpture and Photography

Tied by crisp design and sharp value contrast, SHADES of GREY showcases multi-media artIsts whose work represents vastly different concepts and sectors of representational and abstract imagery. From middle eastern ruins to St. Louis landmarks to mythical creatures and art historical masterpieces, these talented artists explore worlds without color but ones that center on thee basics of visual language: Shape, line, and texture. Striking, nuanced images and airtight
design characterize this exhibit of sculpture, painting and photography rendered in glorious black and white. And the viewer doesn't even miss the color!

Featuring regional and national artists, SHADES of GREY links diverse media and ideas in a simple and unified presentation void of color. The black and white exhibit spotlights the work of gallery artists including Melody Evans, Mark Florida, E. Gibbons, David Hanlon, Philip Hitchcock, Leslie Holt, Michael Johnson, David Lancaster, Jeff Palmer, Ruth Reese, Amy Rosen, Trix Rosen, David Vance, and Mark Weber.

SHADES of GREY is on view October 29 through November 26, 20011, with an artist's reception Saturday November 5th, 7-10PM. Noon to 4PM, Thurs. through Sun.
